Mira opens the eighteenth envelope to piece together a sunny April day along the Tagus in Belém. Fresh custard tarts and river breezes give way to unexpected news waiting in the evening shadows.

Previously: Mira assembled Tomás Vale's mapmaker studio in Bairro Alto, where penciled charts revealed he had followed Ada's steps through Kyoto and Paris. The final print showed Ada holding her lost lens cap, kept by Tomás for nine years.
